Sorry, your original question was just on where are the backup files located. That's what I answered. I didn't realize you were looking to browse their contents.
It's OK, thanks.

Why isit that you will skip vga?
VGA is outdated, and DVI/HDMI are better equipped to handle higher resolutions. VGA is an analog signal. HDMI is a digital signal. There is much greater risk for signal degradation, particularly with a long cable, with VGA than HDMI.

id love to fill it up with 1024 of cl2 memory but money is really tight, it came with 128 and i was able to pawn 384 off a friend and snagged an old 64mb stick from work that we had donated to us. can the b&w run at 133 or is it 100...i thought i read it was 100, if its 133 i think id take the 64mb stick out.
yeah after looking at the motherboard for this it seems soo much different than a pc board..mainly no capacators.
If you dont mind me asking where did you get the 800mhz upgrade card and how much was it. i think thatm ight be my next step after a 7200rpm hard drive (that is actually in a different machine of mine right now)

I have a great 27" monitor with HDMI, DVI, and VGA. I use it as a secondary display for my MacBook.
I have an old PlayStation 2 I'd like to start using with it, so I'm wondering if there is such a cable or converter that allows me to use the composite input on the PS2 with any of the three ports on the monitor.
And since the PS3 has HDMI, do I simply buy a male-to-male HDMI cable and from there I can use my monitor to game?
Thanks for any help!

Thanks Orange,
You are a very very helpful macrumors forum member! I just wanted to tell you that.
So would this be a definite deal I should jump on?

Thats not possible. Each frame is a separate, independent document, nothing can go into multiple frames.
You should really rethink how you're setting up this site. With only a few very specific exceptions, frames are always a bad idea.

I've seen them from time to time elsewhere in very limited quantities, but they are usually a bad deal. Apple refurbs come with the full factory warranty same as a new Apple. I assume they go through very high quality testing, and are repackaged as if new.
Other refurbs are essentially used computers that some third party has tested in some way, with a very short warranty that has to be handled through them. Often original accessories and CDs are not included.
But if you really want that, you can look at Powermax.com, themacstore.com, and occasionally buy.com.

A daily visit to Macrumors and MacBytes can take a while but keeps me fully informed.
Keep up the great work.
Thanks

QC is amazing. I've used it for a few years with software called VDMX to do live audio-reactive visuals. It's included in the dev tools with XCode - http://developer.apple.com
Enjoy!
Also check out kineme.net for an active QC community :)

So waloshin creates a thread with a digg post that is actually his blog about the price of games aka attempting to drive traffic to his blog....
Got it
I too do not think it will change from what the prices have typically been at.

Yes because the "problematic disk" work fine on other devices.
Looks like it was a Roxio issue. The files played fine when i burned them from the smart burn folder.

One of the things I noticed that excited me very much about Lion was the fact that there are a lot more voices that come with the OS. Not just English (which now comes in a lot of different accents), but, finally, a lot of European languages including my own small funny language (Dutch). While that's already great, I wonder if that's all. After all, just having those voices is not all that useful. It would only start to be useful if one could finally also speak in ones own language. So far, I haven't read anything about this... Does anyone know if Lion will have better speech recognition? It just irritates me that my iPhone understands me perfectly (I use voice control all the time- in Dutch), but that my Mac only has this clumsy speech interface and worst of all does not let me speak my own language.
I don't know but I don't doubt.
Apple did buy an AI company and they can do wonders with it. Will wait to see what's in the full package.

I think people are having their MacGasms a little eary.
Usually they wait for Steve to walk out on stage with his Keynote Remote before they have their first MacGasm.
Some people have more than one? Wow!

Anyone?
Got Alien vs. Predator at Amazon for around $20.
They've got Metroid Other M for Wii for $25 - is that a good price? Does that mean the price is dropping to $30 retail in Jan?

Damn, i didnt know you could pay for a replacement with it out of warranty. That could be a really good deal.
As long as the phone isn't completely pulverised you can do an out of warranty exchange. It covers water damage, drop damage, etc, etc.
One thing that isn't covered though is unauthorised modifications so if (for example) you try and do a DIY swap to white, not only do you lose your warranty, you also lose the chance of out of warranty service (if they work out what you've done)

I have dealt with Apple's warranty service and their "geniuses" on multiple occasions. To sum it up, Apple's employees will try to blame you if even the slightest thing is awry (ie a dent). I even remember hearing about a guy who brought in his PowerBook (in the PPC days) for warranty repair, and Apple denied him service because he had a sticker from an orange on the screen bezel.
I recently got a new hybrid bike (no, it is not partially electric or gasoline, it is 100% leg powered) at Sports Authority (SA for short). It was a big mistake purchasing it there instead of my local bike shop, but that's another story. SA put a Schwinn branded tire on the bike. That wouldn't be a problem if it was a Schwinn bike, and it matched the other tire. But no, my bike is a K2 bike. I took it to SA to replace the tire. Long story short: they made up some story as to why it was supposed to come with a Schwinn tire. They denied that it was even the wrong tire. Meanwhile, I contacted K2, who told me that they don't use Schwinn tires and they would be happy to replace the tires and send me better ones with reflective strips painted on the sidewalls of the tires. This was warranty service at its finest. The manufacturer of the product (the bike) not only sent me out replacement parts for something that their distributor screwed up, but they sent me nicer replacement parts than what the bike originally came with! They also expected me to replace the tires myself. This would have been a problem if I didn't have the tools and expertise to do so, but I had those so it was no problem at all. I don't recall ever having a company send me parts to fix my own product (computer, device, gadget, mechanical device, bicycle, etc).

Edit: forgot to mention that when I purchased the bike, the Schwinn logo was covered up my permanent marker, and I noticed the marker there and cleaned it off to reveal the logo. This means that someone purposely covered it up. The treads on both tires had the same pattern, but the Schwinn branded tire was 38mm wide while the rear tire was 35mm wide (correct to the bike's specs on K2's website).

Steve is often interviewed on CNBC following a keynote. I don't see anything scheduled, but not sure if there would be. They have some pre-event coverage, nothing beyond the speculation we've seen elsewhere.
CNN just mentioned MacWorld, with the buzz Steve will announce the phone. Their phrasing was also clearly speculation, don't think they have anything we haven't heard, they're probably using MacRumors as their source. :-)
