I was always under the impression that Apple sourced the tracks digitally from the labels, and encoded to AAC from sources that were almost certainly higher up the ladder than CD quality (ie; studio master)
I'm going on no evidence, but I wouldn't bet on it being higher than CD quality. It's quite likely studios will send them the tracks they get from CD mastering.

In your navigation controller window, stick in a button to call this:
SecondLevelController *nextController = [[SecondLevelController alloc] init];
[self.navigationController pushViewController:nextController animated:YES];
[nextController release];
This is all relative to the navigation controller so it doesn't matter where it is defined.

Ok, so I know the scratch disk has been covered a lot, but for my particular setup I'm getting mixed information...
I'll be running OSX and all apps on a 60GB SSD drive, and all my other files on a 7200rpm HDD. Both internal SATA2 on a MBP.
Which of these disks would be better to set up as the scratch disk? Adobe says not the boot disk and other sources say not the disk with the photos on it.
So which will give me the best performance? Thanks!
Bonus question: My 7200 is quite noisy and drain the battery. Will I see a significant decrease in Photoshop or overall performance if I downgrade the storage disk to 5400rpm?

Simple, but very cool. An Apple font would have been nice, but it's very good!

The letter body text?? That's interesting indeed.
Sadly not - it was just the letterhead (well letterbottom) and it also had the older apple logo on it (A Blue one with the older texture), so it looks like those are all being used internally still

Ok. My time capsule is my wireless network so I selected created. However, you think I should have selected join. I will try it and see what happens.

When I am done with edit projects I pull them from my RAID and archive them to drives via a docking station (can't afford LTO at the moment). Depending on the project they could be anywhere from 100G to ~2TB. Most are in the 300G-1TB range. So, I buy 2TB drives and put multiple projects on them.
Here's my problem, I am building up a stack of drives and don't really KNOW what is on each one. I mean I have a rough idea but I'm not sure. Example... I worked on 2 seasons of the same show and we used the same music. To save space I deleted all the music files from one of the project folders because I don't need all that music twice. But I forgot which one I did it to and since they were a year apart they are on separate drives. Not a big deal but I would like to streamline so I'm not popping drives in randomly for no reason if I need to access something.
So, to make a long story longer, I am looking for cataloging software that will create a database of all files in all folders of each drive. I need this to be searchable so I can just pop it open, type in a name and it will show me what drive and the path to that file. Anyone know of a good solution?
Thanks

Sounds like the wifi chip was ready to die and on its last leg.
Deactivating the sim had nothing to do with it, just happened around the same time.
so when it worked was just a fluke? :(
Is there any way to get it fixed for cheap? I wanted to give this phone to my sis overseas.

It has a cracked screen, other than that it looks the same...?
Was hoping someone on here had done it... :/
I'm not sure if this helps but I've heard that the glass is glued to the LCD. :o

There is TuneIn Radio on the App Store for $1.99
It has over thousands of FM and AM radio stations all over the world.
Doesnt it take wifi?

No, you cannot always trust Mac OS X's pronunciations. They are often fairly inaccurate. Then again, the technology hasn't changed terribly much since it was introduced in the Mac OS.

when this app is running, is it constantly streaming data usage? i have a couple of chats going, just started using a couple of days ago. and for the first time i got a warning from Att then im at 70% of my usage for the month.
my internet has been down at home, so no wifi - but didnt think that would make much of a difference, this is the only app i can think of that would make this drastic of a change

Hi there, can anyone help?
I bought Aperture 2 many months ago, but found it wouldn't work on my Powerbook G4. I then switched to Adobe Lightroom, and put the Aperture software in the cupboard.
I've just sold the software, but the new user gets the error message, 'serial number invalid'. It's possible I entered the serial number (can't remember), but the software itself was never used. How do I get the software to work for someone else?
Many thanks for any help.
Did you buy Aperture from Apple in a sealed box? If so the current owner needs to contact Apple.
Or if you bought it used from a third party then I suspect the S/N is in fact invalid.
I don't think Apple registers the S/N when you install and you can abuse the license and install it on ten computers. But just to see if this is the case (or not) you can remove the Internet connection while attempting to install. The result of this experiment will provide some good information.
Some times when Apple releases a new version of Aperture the new version black lists a few S/Ns that have been pirated or posted on-line. Typically these pirated S/Ns stop working when the next version of Aperture comes out. But if the S/N used matches the version of Aperture this can not be what's going on.

Several of the long-standing users here at MacRumors have been upgraded to Sysop status on the guide pages. Please don't be offended if you weren't upgraded. We simply did a casual glance through the registered names and upgraded accounts from people who have been around for while and are active participants on the forums.
Sysop status on the Guide pages provide you a few extra capabilities to moderate the Guide pages if necessary...
Block users. This should only be used if someone is abusing the guide pages by spamming, posting offensive materials, vandalism etc...
Protect and unprotect pages. This is not something that will likely be an issue for this forum since we don't allow unregistered edits. But protecting a page will prevent anyone but a sysop (or higher) from editing a page.

When I go to burn a dvd my macbook says that I don't have the superdrive to support that? I thought that all macbooks come with a superdrive? What can I do?
Not all Intel Macs support DVD burning. I had a original Macbook that didn't.
To check if you can burn DVDs:
1. In the top left corner of the screen click on the Apple icon and go to "About this Mac".
2. In the window that Pops up click on the "More info..." button down towards the bottom.
3. A new window should pop up. On the right hand side there is a list of categories. Click on "disc burning".
You should see a list of types of CD/DVDs you can burn. If you don't see a list of DVD types you can't burn DVDs.

I have read a few places that people have been successful going up to 4gb of ram in the mid 07 mini but as per apple's specs the max you can put in is 2gb.
My question is has anyone upgraded their 07 mini to 4gb and did you have any issues running?
