PhotoBooth and QT Player can record via the iSight, though I don't know about brightness settings.
Yeah, I know my on PC the webcam software had built in features for doing such. Didn't see one for Photobooth.

Just a question...
When you are browsing the rumors page, on the right hand side you can see the different forum categories ie. Mac Rumors Articles, Page 2 Rumors, Buying Tips ect.
now, most of these headers have a blue background but the Macbook Air header has a redish background and I am curious as to why this is.
My original thought was that it was a 'hot category' but it has been red since before the update and im not sure that it is the hottest category in these forums...
anywho, does anybody know the answer to this question?

there are already a gazillion threads on refresh. No one knows outside of Apple and the people that do know keep their mouths shut to avoid the wrath of management. Apple store people have no information either.

Alright, so i just came back from this boutique. Nice place. A little small but given that their were about 20-30 people inside, who cares. Nice employees too, a lot better then those in Laval (sorry). Then again, it IS the grand opening today and happy customers = happy employees :) hahaha...
Either way, it's a cool boutique. I see it as being one of those stores where the relationship between a customer and salesperson to be a lot closer than what you'll see in a much larger store.
I should of stuck around for the prizes but i wasn't going to wait for an hour till 12:30  Anyways! thumbs up! Check this place out! :D

I swear to god, you cannot make this stuff up.
RNC considers selling TV rights of presidential primary debates (http://www.cnn.com/2011/POLITICS/03/15/rnc.debates/index.html?hpt=T2)
Washington (CNN) -- The Republican National Committee is considering sanctioning the GOP presidential primary debates and then selling the broadcast rights to news outlets, two Republicans with knowledge of the idea tell CNN.
The proposal was mentioned last week during a meeting of top RNC officials and a handful of political operatives representing potential GOP presidential candidates.
In February, the RNC disclosed it was saddled with more than $22 million of debt left over from the 2010 midterm elections. At that time, newly elected Chairman Reince Priebus acknowledged the committee has "a lot of work to do" to pay off its obligations so it can focus on raising money for the 2012 presidential election.
It is unclear if it is legal for the RNC to sell the broadcasting rights or whether it would constitute a prohibited political contribution in the eyes of federal law.I'm delighted to hear that the RNC is in so much debt (unions, Moveon.org, etc., get those fundraising campaigns in gear now!), and I should point out that this idea is nowhere past the suggestion stage, but boy, talk about cheapening yourself....
Maybe the candidates could raise money too by wearing NASCAR-type suits, with brand logos all over them.

I'm hoping Apple develops a version of WINE for Mactel and builds it into the OS. Imagine being able to run most Windows applications on the Mac...
If Apple doesn't do it, I bet somebody else does eventually,

No way it will bubble your screen protector....it is a very soft silicone piece.
That said I put it on once and stuck it back in the box. It's like the really soft inside portion of the Commuter without the hard outside to hold it all together. Way to soft of a material in my book. The sides are too "floppy".
Mine is heading back to Radio Shack. I don't believe I endured the "slippery" sales person at Radio Shack just to buy a case and then have to go back and return it.

It's the Bose Sound Dock. Not sure if it's because I updated my iPhone 4 to 4.3.2.

Just use iPhoto
Okay....I am new to Mac... so just import through iPhoto? Is this the easiest way? I'd like to be able to just stick the pictures in my Pictures folder.

Hello all,
My wife's iBok 600 is having MAJOR battery issues. I have tried to reset PRAM and the PMU through the prescribed method from Apple, but when I do these things, nothing is changed. Resetting the PMU should reset the date and time as well as some other settings, but nothing is ever changed. Any ideas on what to do? She is WAY out of warranty on this.
Regards,
Gus

What OS do you have on it?
Go find a two-year-old networked HP LaserJet. HP has had amazing support for older OSes, supporting OS 9 long after everyone else had abandoned it. And being networked, you don't need to worry about the lack of 8-pin serial. Or just about any HP with a "JetDirect External Print Server" box will do as well.
(A quick search turns up many older HP laser printers for sale at reasonable prices.)

I have Mac OS 10.6.7 and in my mail program certain emails show up with weird characters. They look like squares with A's in them. Its not in every email. The email renders fine on my ipod touch. Anyone else experience this?
