I have a Power Mac G4 Quicksilver 2002 that I'm getting ready to sell, and I'm trying to upgrade it out for the next owner.
Who here knows what the best graphic card for a PM G4 is?
Here's my situation:
OS X 10.4.11 right now on it, wanting to upgrade it to Leopard soon.
512Mb RAM, about to put 1.5Gb in it.
Dual 1Ghz G4, probably going to keep that.
And a 40Gb Hard Drive. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
-Aaron.
PS. I've looked all over the internet to find this out, and I've gotten mixed answers. Just wanted someone here to clear things up for me. :)

You have to turn data off to avoid any data flow between the iPhone and the network.

try the 2 finger swipe. place 2 fingers together and swipe upwards. I've had this occasionally happen to me browsing some websites and the 2 finger method tends to work about 80% of the time for me.

I notice if you stare up on your screen from below (ie: lie down on bed.. and look upwards on your screen) you can really see faint diagonal lines swimming all over your screen.
This LCD really disgusts me.

Definitely the 2011 model. It is much faster than the 2010 model, especially when it comes to the 13". There is no dedicated video card, but if you want to play games you should go with a 15" anyway. Also, you get the Thunderbolt port.
There won't be any games on this laptop. My main concern is that I want to be able to watching streaming sports with no problem. I live in Michigan and they don't televise any PA sports. When I was watching the Masters on my laptop, it was buffering every other minute. Total PITA.

I am planning on getting a 4G upon release date, and was wanting FM radio. Any suggestions?

As the above poster stated, it is most likely the
/System/Library/Filesystems/cd9660.fs/cd9660.util
permission that is repaired. This is a hard-coded permission repair, and was done due to a security concern, IIRC. Nothing to be concerned about.

As for practical reasons why someone would actually care? Only case I even heard that could potentially be affected is the incase slider...
I got a white iPhone at Verizon yesterday. Tested the Incase Slider on it, and it went on just fine.

Yes, this machine should have the signatures on the inside. According to the serial number this is a original Mac made in Fremont, California in the35th week of 1984, and was the 2725th Mac produced that week.
See here to decode classic Mac serial numbers:
http://myoldmac.net/FAQ/Mac-Serialnumber-decoder-e.php
As for the printing issue... I'm not sure. You can try booting from the other disk and seeing if it will print. Not sure what program are you trying to print from. One option is to take a blank floppy and copy the system from the newer disk, and the program from the other disk and put them on the same floppy.
Many original 128K Macs have been upgraded... does this have 128K RAM, or has it been upgraded to a 512K board? The floppy drive may also have been upgraded from 400K to 800K.

I do not qualify for early upgrade. Also, I plan to upgrade to iPhone5 when it comes out (as I will qualify for upgrade then.)
I just swapped my black one out at Apple, I haven't even used it yet, so I'm trying to figure what it would cost to sell this, and get a white.

You can partition your hard drive using Disk Utility and then install Windows onto the new partition. Just remember to name the partition into something that you'll recognise easily during the Windows install, such as BOOTCAMP, and format it as MS-DOS.
But if BCA can't make contiguous space, Disk Utility won't be able to either. (They both call the same underlying helper utilities).
You need to boot from your OS X install disc and run Disk Utility from that for it to be any different than the results from Boot Camp Assistant.
The other difference to keep in mind when installing without BCA, is that the Startup Disk won't be set to Windows so you will have to hold Alt/Option to select the appropriate boot drive every time it wants to reboot until you get it installed.

I am having problems with iPhoto and downloading pictures from my Fuji S602.
I have a 512k CF card in the camera. First off, when I connect the camera, I have not been able to transfer directly in iPhoto. This is not a problem as the camera appears as a drive on my Finder and I just copy the pictures into my photo library.
My main problem came today when I tried to download a video onto the desktop. When I plugged in the camera, iPhoto immediately launched and hung. I waited a bit and killed iPhoto. Whenever I tried to do anything in the finder ( copy the file to the desktop, "eject" the camera/drive ) the finder also hung. After about five minutes of waiting I killed the finder; however, it did not properly die and restart until I unplugged the camera.
If the camera is unplugged in this way the camera reports "Card not Initialized" so I cannot erase the video file that way to see if the size is a problem.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Can I make it so iPhoto does not automatically launch when I plug in the camera? This may eliminate one of my problems!
Thanks!

Email isn't sent "to your smartphone". It's sent to your email account. If you check it using your smartphone, that's not something the sender of the email has any control over.
What is your experience level in working with sensor networks, devices, etc.? What is your programming experience?
It sounds like you want a home automation system integrated with a computerized home security system. Some systems will do both, but not always, so you have to shop sensibly.
Starting from nothing at all, you should expect to spend at least a few hundred dollars to get started. If you already have something installed, such as sensors or controlled outlets or devices, the cost may be less. It depends on how well what you have can connect to the overall system architecture.

fairly high.
IIRC it was EDS who buggered up the tax credit system. that and pretty much everything else they touch.
I think you're right - my brother works for the Child Support Agency (booo! hiss!) and EDS installed their system (with Siemens-Fujitsu PCs), and it hasn't worked right from the start. Of course, from what my brother says, no one in the CSA does any work anyway so it doesn't make any difference.
