Any Bluetooth headset works. So any one you would use for your cell phone. Sony isn't marketing any first-party 'playstation' ones but I'm sure Sony-Ericson has some :) I used my motorola one before I dropped it in the toilet (never talk on the phone while taking a leak...)

I've been trying for days to connect to the wii shop channel but it never does. it used to in 15-30 seconds. it'll go from the page with the word "Wii" in big font to the page that says "Connecting... Please wait" but after that it just stays there making the weird chime noise. what do i do?

Panther is what sold me on the Mac. I bought my first Mac, the 1Ghz eMac (ATI Graphics) (http://apple-history.com/body.php?page=gallery&model=emac_ati&sort=date&performa=off&order=ASC) about a week later.

if it's a 1.33, then i agree with $450. less if it is one of the slower flavors.
great seller by the way. best of luck.

From http://www.apple.com/iphone/buy/
"For non-qualified customers, including existing AT&T customers who want to upgrade from another phone or replace an iPhone 3G, the price with a new two-year agreement is $499 (8GB), $599 (16GB), or $699 (32GB)."
It was only a mater of time I suppose.

I am not sure I understand. So you have to try to copy a file (Mac --> PC) to get access denied and that makes it possible for (PC --> Mac) to work when it didn't work before you got the access denied message. Also connecting works (Mac --> PC) fine without having to do anything elaborate.
Connecting (Mac --> PC) works for viewing files only? My setup worked fine when I made sure I was on the same wireless network, and opened up a port on the PC firewall, and started up Windows Sharing on the Mac side.
Also just a word of warning. People freak out when they see MAC or Apple (When refering to a Mac) instead of Mac. It might even be confusing for some networking folks since MAC means something different.

Check your battery health with iStats or Coconut Battery. 4 hours seems to indicate your battery is screwed, unless you have Bluetooth on or you are running fairly heavy-on-CPU applications.

My wife's waiting in line for me since I've been sick all week. Pics can be seen here (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1114089&page=10), when she got in line she was about 40-50 people deep.

I have dealt with Apple's warranty service and their "geniuses" on multiple occasions. To sum it up, Apple's employees will try to blame you if even the slightest thing is awry (ie a dent). I even remember hearing about a guy who brought in his PowerBook (in the PPC days) for warranty repair, and Apple denied him service because he had a sticker from an orange on the screen bezel.
I recently got a new hybrid bike (no, it is not partially electric or gasoline, it is 100% leg powered) at Sports Authority (SA for short). It was a big mistake purchasing it there instead of my local bike shop, but that's another story. SA put a Schwinn branded tire on the bike. That wouldn't be a problem if it was a Schwinn bike, and it matched the other tire. But no, my bike is a K2 bike. I took it to SA to replace the tire. Long story short: they made up some story as to why it was supposed to come with a Schwinn tire. They denied that it was even the wrong tire. Meanwhile, I contacted K2, who told me that they don't use Schwinn tires and they would be happy to replace the tires and send me better ones with reflective strips painted on the sidewalls of the tires. This was warranty service at its finest. The manufacturer of the product (the bike) not only sent me out replacement parts for something that their distributor screwed up, but they sent me nicer replacement parts than what the bike originally came with! They also expected me to replace the tires myself. This would have been a problem if I didn't have the tools and expertise to do so, but I had those so it was no problem at all. I don't recall ever having a company send me parts to fix my own product (computer, device, gadget, mechanical device, bicycle, etc).

Edit: forgot to mention that when I purchased the bike, the Schwinn logo was covered up my permanent marker, and I noticed the marker there and cleaned it off to reveal the logo. This means that someone purposely covered it up. The treads on both tires had the same pattern, but the Schwinn branded tire was 38mm wide while the rear tire was 35mm wide (correct to the bike's specs on K2's website).

Thank you so much!
is that some kind of adware thing or is it something my client accidently put in there?
you're the best!
Thank you. No idea what it is... it appears to be some sort of Visual Basic script and is likely some kind of Windows ad/malware.

As the above poster stated, it is most likely the
/System/Library/Filesystems/cd9660.fs/cd9660.util
permission that is repaired. This is a hard-coded permission repair, and was done due to a security concern, IIRC. Nothing to be concerned about.

Before you delete the account as Morod gave instructions on, make sure you check in the Advanced tab under Accounts. What you are checking on is to see whether 1) Mail removes the emails from the server after downloading, and 2) at what point it does so. If it doesn't remove emails from the server or if it only does so after a day/week/month you can delete the account with no harm/foul. If you login to your webmail access and find that your messages are no longer accessible there, that's where things get complicated. I'm hoping for your sake that they are still on the website.

I think I'm just going to take a risk and stop by this one later in the day (or at least call around 10 and see if they ran out...my guess is they won't have). If they're out, I can try the one on University as well as the ones in the city since I have to go back up eventually anyway.

Hi there,
I've got a Mac Pro (2x2.8 Quad Core) Early 2008. The computer came with 2GB of RAM (2x1GB). Last year I bought an extra 4GB (2x2GB) from Crucial and installed them without any problem.
I just got 8GB (2x4GB) and I thought I was installing the chips properly, but OSX only shows that I have 10GB installed.
My configuration is as follows:
Riser A:
DIMM 1: 1GB
DIMM 2: 1GB
DIMM 3: 4GB
DIMM 4: 4GB
RISER B:
DIMM 1: 2GB
DIMM 2: 2GB
DIMM 3: EMPTY
DIMM 4: EMPTY
Anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you!

Hey I noticed that on some threads after peoples reply there is a line then it will say all the computers, ipods, iphones etc. that they own or it will just say some random comment like its ipod touch not itouch. I was wondering how you get this becasue it looks like people can set it to automatically do this after all there posts.

I use an FTP app (FTP on the go) to work on my website so I can do basic editing of the files only. If you only need the MacBook Pro for the portability then I would say get both. But if it is a desktop replacement for primary website development then it might be better to get the best laptop that you can. For the most portable solution maybe a MacBook Air and iPad combo might work well.
Also, I could not find any web design apps but cPanel seems to work fine on my iPad.
