Hi
1 The time capsule doesnt have enough ports for all 5. Do i then have to buy a switch to connect all red spots to TC? Will all devices (both wirred connected and wirreless) be able to acces all the other devices even though you use a switch? Could anyone recommend a specific switch for my need (small, fast (cat6e), and cheap/simple)?
Yes. I'd just get an 8-port unmanaged gigabit ethernet switch for that. I have a HP ProCurve 1400-8G hooked up to my Airport Extreme in my office, but any of the usual D-Link, Linksys, or Netgear choices should do the trick.
2 How do you set up the AEP to copy my TC network, so it just exspands the WiFi range?
This Apple document will tell you everything you need to know about setting up various wireless network topologies with Airport base stations:

I plan on running Windows via VMWare or Parallels on my MBP and I heard that Windows 7 requires more CPU to virtualize, I am just wondering if it's true, and if so, is it significant?
I will be running the virtualization probably constantly so I want to avoid anything that might slow down OSX. I hear 7 is the best choice for Boot Camp though, so I'm torn.
Any insight would be appreciated :)
Use XP SP3, if possible, because it runs fine with just 512 MB RAM! W7 requires at least 1 GB RAM, and runs fine with 2 GB RAM. The CPU-usage is low, in both cases: 5-15 percent on a 2.8 GHz Core2Duo, if you work just within the Windows Explorer, and < 5 percent if you do nothing within the Windows VM. VMware has optimized the VMware Tools (a collection of "invisible" drivers within the VM) for Windows, so Windows machines require only small amounts of CPU power.

just put the disc in and mount it over bonjour on another computer. Remote disc is just a front end for that.

Has anyone bought and used one of these yet? I'm getting really annoyed with my iTrip covering the hold switch - when I'm listening to it in the car and then go into the house I have to take it off, put hold on, then put the iTrip back on. Then, when I'm going back out I have to do the reverse... I also like the idea of the buttons changing the frequency rather than running the iTrip stations playlists - a real pain when driving along and you hit a local station.

I was thinking about heading over to Stanford Shopping Center later today as well. If you find out any info about remaining stock, lines, etc., please pass it on. Thanks!

Go into Terminal
do: rm ~/Desktop/.DS_Store
Relaunch the finder. Thanks for the suggestion, but no go. Ah, well. I may just reinstall over the weekend.

Thanks, I read somewhere that the difference between recovery mode and DFU mode is iboot, and iboot blocks a restore unless it higher than what you currently have, but iboot doesn't run in DFU mode.
I'll try some more to see what I can do, but the last few times I tried shift + restore with 3.1.3 it didn't succeed (I'm using tiny umbrella to exit recovery mode at the end too)

I agree with you. I liked how I could look back and see where i've been. I think like antennagate, the issue was overblown.

Why not ask your son?
Maybe it is going to be a surprise
I think the high end 15" would be ideal if it needs to be portable, otherwise the 17" for that extra screen when editing HD movies.

There was no need to create another thread for the same topic, you questions were being answered in the other thread.

Someone should make a program just for you? ;)
I would hardly say it's *just for me* The SETI@home FAQ says this:
Q: Is there an OS 9 client?
A: SETI@home can run on computers that have System 7.5.5 or higher installed. See the download page for the Classic Mac client for other system requirements: http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/mac.html.
However, the link is broken.

If you want to do her a favor, you could check her iTMS settings and de-authorize the computer before re-formatting.
That's good news, and I'll proceed w/ the reinstall. Guess I should also figure out what iTMS settings are before I get started.
(Did I double-post something?)

Just saw that Ati released the new low cost 6670, 6570, and 6450, anyone know if you could possible put these in a 1,1 Mac pro, of course after flashing using Zues or from a PC?
no.

I flick my phone's mute switch on and it makes the phone vibrate. Never been amused by it.
Think big...tilting the phone makes a beer pouring sound. Or shaking the phone makes boobies jiggle. Then you'll have something.

Thanks robbie. Yep, I knew about the search feature, but that doesn't help if you don't know the exact spelling as the search engine appears to be limited in how it works.
If you know what the name begins with, the search feature will give you hints as you type:
283333

I got it working, what I had left out was i had to add the application on to the iTunes.
Some of the forum members had already told me of this particular step,
but i am a bit confused about that, and i thought it will be creating Application ID in iTunes which i had already done with.
Now i realised that both Application adding and creating application ID is necessary.
Now the application works fine.

Yeah I think $400 is a good price considering it's condition. I was about to respond with dibs but noticed you are wanting to buy this :p :o
